Our Spring Quads wrapped up with a few make-up games on May 18th and were rated a couple days later. A few people made nice gains, there were impressive debuts from a number of our erstwhile unrated players and, sadly, I continue the inexorable slide toward my rating floor: http://www.uschess.org/msa/XtblMain.php?202205183092.
Three people were perfect in their respective groups: Andy Shih, Daniel Vilenchik and Viyan Vijay in quads 1, 3 and 4, while David Bajot won quad 2 with 2.5 points. There were a couple forfeited (unplayed) games in a two groups due to illness, one of which decided first place in quad 2, but that’s the nature of these round robin events. We’ll likely hold another round robin or quad tournament in the fall.
