DESCRIPTION:Lauren Goodkind\, a well-regarded chess coach and author in the Bay Area\, will give a FREE chess lecture at the Menlo Park Chess Club to inspire more women and girls to play chess. Lauren will review one or two of her recent tournament games and the lecture is suitable for beginners and experienced players. Please let others know about this event so we can help grow the game among women and girls who are or may be interested in the game we all love. \nAfter the lecture there will be free casual play for anyone wanting a game and chess boards\, chess sets and chess clocks will be provided by the club. SUMMARY:Game Analysis with Jim Eade
DESCRIPTION:Jim Eade\, FIDE Master\, club supporter and head of the Eade Foundation (https://eadefoundation.org/)\, a non-profit organization dedicated to expanding chess literacy and chess excellence around the world\, will analyze one or two games from our recently-completed June Mini-Marathon. Note that Jim’s lecture is tentative given he has a very busy week leading up to Wednesday evening\, so we may need to postpone (this event will be updated asap if that’s the case). Please arrive before 6:30pm so we may begin on time. Casual and blitz chess will take place once the lecture is complete\, and a sincere thank you to Jim in advance for offering to do this for the club!
